Situated in the northernmost city of England, the Arkale Lodge is the place to stay for those looking for comfortable facilities, a warm welcome and easy access to the many attractions that Carlisle and the surrounding area has to offer.
Located on the A6, this popular townhouse is just five minute's walk from Carlisle city centre and its many and varied attractions.
All 15 rooms are designed to the highest standard, 7 of which are single and the rest are double or family rooms. 12 of the Lodge's rooms come with en suite facilities. You can also relax and unwind on the private patio.
Offering their famous breakfasts and tasty evening meal on request, The Arkale Lodge has a dining experience to suit all ages and tastes.
With the sights and sounds of Cumbria all around, the Arkale is the ideal base for a fun day our. You could also cross the border and sample what Scotland has to offer. Nearby attractions include:
Cyclists and walkers will feel right at home, surrounded by plenty of cycle paths and footpaths to explore the area's beautiful countryside.
Attractions include Hadrian's Wall. Built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 122 AD to keep the Picts out of England, the wall is a must-see destination for any visitor to the area.
The Guildhall Museum is also well worth a visit. With fascinating medieval architecture and exhibits, the museum is a must for history buffs.
The city of Carlisle also offers a very modern visiting experience, with plenty of cinemas, restaurants and shopping facilities to keep you occupied.
